This is a good one, as I'm slightly baffled. I installed my stereo system, and the basics look like this: 4 gauge wire from + batt to 100A fuse, about 10" away then 4 gauge to dist block. In dist block, there are currently 2 of 4 spots used. One 10A fuse for the EQ circuit, and one 50A for the front channel amp. There is nothing in the other two spots. On the ground side one 4 AWG to dist block and the other end attaches to the ground on the B-pillar passenger side. The other end (8 AWG) of ground dist block goes to the front amp, one 16 AWG to the EQ and two 8 AWG to the ground on pass side back of package shelf behind the seats in a 2+0. Now, with the car off, key in ACC or ON, the stereo works great, but the car won't start. The first time I tried starting it with the 100A fuse up front pulled, it started right up. I haven't checked yet, but I'm pretty sure if I reinstall the 100A fuse (engine off batt disconnected obv.) and use the stereo, everything will be fine. Should I not use the common grounds used by OEM? I wouldn't think that's the issue, but I'm baffled. Do I need a smaller fuse up at the battery? I know the OEM alternator has a 90AMP output, and I'm using an underdrive pulley, but I didn't think that would affect starting. Brand new: Battery (Die Hard gold) Battery to starter cable (OEM) Rebuilt: Starter Before installing the stereo, there was no system at all installed, and the car started fine everytime. Any help is appreciated, as I"m baffled.
